The crews of two vessels were assisted by Cowes RNLI lifeboat crew on Friday night after both suffered mechanical issues.
The first launch of the evening was to a RIB with a damaged propeller. The lifeboat quickly arrived on scene in Osborne Bay and transferred six people - all suffering from the cold - to Town Quay.
The lifeboat then returned to the RIB to tow it to Cowes.
A short time later, the lifeboat was once again summoned to Osborne Bay, but this time to help a yacht suffering engine failure.
The volunteer lifeboat crew towed the vessel and the two people aboard to Shepherds Marina - and returned to the station at just before midnight.
