Police are in attendance at a two-vehicle collision at Downend - near to the Robin Hill roundabout - this morning (Friday).
It's understood that one car has come to rest in the hedgerow at the side of the road, whilst another vehicle believed to have been involved - a transit flatbed - has remained on the carriageway.
Isle of Wight Radio has approached Hampshire Constabulary for a comment.
The road remains open, but motorists are facing big delays in the area.
