CCTV Image Released And Further Arrest Made As Part Of Ocean Hotel Arson Investigation

Officers investigating a recent series of arsons at the Ocean Hotel in Sandown have made another arrest.

Today (Tuesday) a 20-year-old man from Sandown was arrested on suspicion of arson.

He remains in custody at this time.

Police have previously arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of arson and he remains on conditional bail until 18 November.

Our investigation into these arson incidents continues, and the South Wight Neighbourhoods Policing Team are following up every line of enquiry.

Police also continue to patrol the area, and are working with local partners to resolve issues regarding the site, its security and the associated anti-social behaviour and criminality.

As part of our enquiries, the authorities are keen to identify the person pictured in the CCTV image. Do you know who he is?
