CCTV footage is being examined following a break-in at The Castle Inn, in Newport.
As first reported by Isle of Wight Radio yesterday, the pub was targeted sometime between 11.30pm Monday night (16) and 6.30am yesterday.
Alcohol and cash was stolen, according to the landlords.
Speaking to Isle of Wight Radio, Simon Cant who co-runs the pub, said:
"We are heartbroken and gutted.
"We have worked so hard to keep this little family running, especially after all we have been through with the pandemic.
"We feel sorry for our staff because it will impact on all of us. This just makes a hard year, even worse."
CCTV footage from the night has now been released by the heartbroken publicans.
We have chosen to blur the face in the pictures.
It's understood no arrests have been made.
If anyone has information about the burglary, they are asked to contact police on 101 quoting crime reference number
