HM Coastguard has been dealing with the recovery of an accidentally activated life raft in the Bembridge and St Helens area today (Monday).
Alerted at around 9.15am, a lifeboat from Bembridge RNLI was sent to assist.
A spokesperson for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said:
"The RNLI lifeboat was sent to make sure no one put themselves at risk to recover the life raft."
The reason for the accidental activation is uncertain.
