Reports of children tombstoning in Ventnor led to a call-out for coastguard teams this afternoon (Wednesday).
A number of 999 calls were made over fears those involved would hurt themselves.
Onlookers reported seeing children jumping from a groyne at Ventnor beach.
Ventnor Coastguard teams were called to the incident at around 1.42pm.
