Coastguard Rescue teams from Ventnor and Bembridge were called to Culver yesterday (Saturday) after receiving reports of a person in danger.
The teams, alongside Bembridge RNLI, received the call shortly before 3.50pm, undertaking an extensive search of the cliff edge as a result.
A spokesperson for Bembridge Coastguard Rescue said:
"(Our team was) tasked alongside Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team and Bembridge RNLI to reports of a person the wrong side of the safety fence at Culver.
"(An) extensive search of the cliff edge and shoreline (found) nothing untoward."
