Coastguards were called to reports of a cliff fall in Shanklin.
Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team was called yesterday evening (Wednesday) at 5.19pm.
No-one was injured and safety advice was given to people in the area of the seafront.
Ventnor Coastguard said:
"If you see a cliff fall with persons in vicinity dial 999 and ask for Coastguard."
