A collision's said to have happened on Fairlee Road this afternoon (Friday).
Isle of Wight Radio listeners say it is near to the turning with Mountbatten.
It's understood a car and a scooter are involved.
Owing to an accident on Fairlee Road, the road is currently closed. Routes 5 and 9, via Failee are currently diverted. Route 9 will use Staplers Rd in both directions. RT 5 will use Staplers Rd to Wootton then Lushington Hill then as normal. Diversion in both directions

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said;
'We were called at 2.10pm today, 16 October, to reports of a collision between a moped and a car on Fairlee Road. The moped rider, a 54-year-old woman reported minor injuries to her arm. This incident appears to be ongoing and this is all the information I have at this time.'

Isle of Wight Police have now confirmed they were called to the incident on Fairlee after 'the rider of a scooter had lost control whilst pulling out from a junction and had sustained a minor injury'
