Another person has died at St Mary's Hospital having tested positive for COVID-19.
Eight deaths have been recorded in Monday's Island figures, although it does not mean all of the fatalities occurred today.
The latest hospital death came on Saturday (20), according to NHS England data.
Since the pandemic began there have been 140 deaths at St Mary's Hospital, while 121 people have died in the community here.
109 of those community deaths have come in care homes, eight at home and one at the Island's hospice.
As Isle of Wight Radio reported earlier, another seven people have died with the illness in the community here.
In total, 261 people have now died on the Isle of Wight after testing positive for the illness.
Yesterday (Monday), the Isle of Wight recorded a further three cases of the virus.
The Island's rolling coronavirus rate has fallen to 50.1 per 100,000 - that remains below the national average.
