Nettlestone Primary and Broadlea Primary are the latest schools to report cases of coronavirus.
It comes as more than 150 students were told to self-isolate yesterday (Monday) as previously reported.
A Year 2 bubble of 30 children and four staff at Nettlestone Primary School have been told to self-isolate.
An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said:
“A member of Nettlestone Primary School has tested positive for Covid-19. Families and staff have all been informed. After seeking public health advice a Year 2 bubble of 30 children and four staff now need to remain at home and self-isolate as a precautionary measure.”
Families of students at Broadlea Primary School in Lake have also been informed of a positive case confirmed at the site.
An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said:
“A member of the Broadlea Primary School community has tested positive for Covid-19. Families and staff have all been informed. After seeking public health advice a Year R bubble of 52 children and nine adults now need to remain at home and self-isolate as a precautionary measure.”
Haylands Primary School in Ryde alerted parents to a positive test within the school on Sunday.
Children within the Year 2 bubble are now under instructions to self-isolate for a period of 10 days - with 68 pupils and 8 staff affected.
An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said:
“A member of the Haylands Primary School, Ryde, community has tested positive for Covid-19. Families and staff have all been informed.
"After seeking public health advice a Year 2 bubble of 68 children and eight staff now need to remain at home and self-isolate as a precautionary measure. A high-quality remote learning will be provided for the students throughout this time.
"The school remains open for all other staff and students.”
Barton Primary School in Newport has also declared a positive test, with its year three bubble affected.
An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said:
“A member of the Barton Primary School community in Newport has tested positive for Covid-19. Families and staff have all been informed. After seeking public health advice a Year 3 bubble of 27 children and three staff now need to remain at home and self-isolate as a precautionary measure.”
The Bay CE School in Sandown is the third school to announce a positive test.
An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said:
“A member of The Bay CE School community in Sandown has tested positive for Covid-19. Families and staff have all been informed. After seeking public health advice a Year 9 bubble of 57 children now need to remain at home and self-isolate as a precautionary measure.”
It comes as HTP Apprenticeship has also identified a positive coronavirus test within its community, as previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio.
