One person has tested positive for coronavirus on the Isle of Wight today (Friday).
According to official figures, it takes the total since the start of the pandemic to 6,788.
The Isle of Wight's rolling case rate continues to be one of the lowest in the country, at 7.8 per 100,000.
It remains below the national average of 24.3.
As previously reported by Isle of Wight Radio, six new cases were confirmed yesterday (Thursday).
Meanwhile, nearly one in five eligible care home staff on the Island have not had a COVID vaccine, as previously reported.
In total, 88,906 first doses have been given out on the Isle of Wight.
