Coronavirus: Three More Die In Isle Of Wight Community

Three more people have died in the Isle of Wight community after testing positive for coronavirus.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has published its weekly data this morning (Tuesday).

In the week of April 2, two people died in care homes here and one person passed away at the hospice.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 136 deaths in the community on the Island.

120 of those have come in care homes and 10 at home.

Overall, there has been three COVID-19 related death at the Island's hospice, one in a 'other communal setting' and two 'elsewhere' in the community.

In total, 288 people have now died on the Isle of Wight after testing positive for the illness. St Mary's Hospital has recorded 152 of those deaths.
