Two people have been arrested as part of a police investigation into the supply of drugs on the Isle of Wight.
Hampshire Constabulary officers carried out warrants at three addresses in Cowes this morning (Monday).
A 33-year-old man from Cowes has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to import a Class B drug with intent to evade a prohibition/restriction; conspiracy to supply a Class B drug; conspiracy to conceal criminal property; conspiracy to produce a Class B drug.
A 17-year-old boy, also from Cowes, has been detained on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a Class B drug, and conspiracy to conceal criminal property.
Both remain in custody at this time.
A police spokesperson said:
"We take a tough stance on drug dealing as it is often connected to other offending, such as high levels of violence or even the exploitation and abuse of vulnerable adults and children.
"We encourage the public to continue to provide information to us about issues in your area so we can build a stronger picture of what is taking place."
