Cowes RNLI Lifeboat has towed a 31-foot motor cruiser that was smoking in the Solent to safety.
The alarm was raised at 12.50pm this afternoon (Saturday) by a man aboard the vessel.
Cowes Lifeboat towed it to Trinity Landing, Cowes where it was met by local firemen, Coastguard Rescue Teams from Bembridge and The Needles.
The motor-cruiser was on its way to the mainland following refurbishment work at a River Medina boat-yard.
There are no reported injuries.
