Cowes RNLI has assisted Calshot lifeboats in helping a family who had 'got into difficulty' across the Solent.
Yesterday afternoon (Saturday) the volunteer crew was called to the incident, around half a mile off Lepe Beach.
According to the RNLI, the volunteer crew arrived to offer assistance to two teenagers and a woman at 2.10pm.
Calshot RNLI Lifeboat had reportedly already rescued a family of four paddle boarders when Cowes RNLI arrived.
A fourth man had to be airlifted to hospital.
