A crash has closed Newport Road, near Sandown Airport, this evening (Thursday).
Emergency services are currently on scene, having been alerted to a serious incident at around 10pm.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance could be seen and heard in the skies above Lake and Shanklin, before landing.
The road is closed between Apse Heath roundabout and Sandown Airport.
Hampsire Constabulary has been approached for a statement.
