The Downs Road has been closed following a crash involving three vehicles this evening (Sunday).
Isle of Wight Radio has been told that one car had broken down near Downend, and was being helped by driver of another. A third car was then involved in a collision, with the two.
It happened at around 5.30pm.
Police have closed the road from The Hare and Hounds pub to Rowlands Lane, while the vehicles - an Audi, a Mazda and a Ford - are recovered.
No injuries have been reported.
