A road has been closed following a crash on the main road between Carisbrooke and Shorwell.
Emergency services, including Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) are in attendance.
The collision is said to have happened near the Clatterford Road junction of Clatterford Shute.
A road closure is in place from there to the main road through Shorwell.

Buses are diverting as a result.
Owing to an accident in Shorwell, Route 12 will have to divert from Shorwell via Sandy Way, Kingston, Billingham, Chillerton to Newport. This route cannot serve stops between Shorwell, Carisbrooke and Cedar Hill Apologies is affected

UPDATE
Police have confirmed a cyclist and car are involved.
A spokesperson said:
“We are currently dealing with a collision involving a cyclist and a car on Main Road, Shorwell, near New Barn Lane.
“Road closures are currently in place at the Main Road/Farriers Way roundabout, and are likely to remain for some time while emergency services deal with this incident.
“This is likely to impact on the bus route, as well as other motorists, so we encourage drivers to avoid the area and seek alternative routes where possible.
“Traffic to Newport is currently being diverted via Chillerton.
“We thank the public for their patience and we will provide further updates when we are in a position to do so.”
