A crash on the main Rookley to Godshill road prompted a call-out for emergency services late last night (Wednesday).
The route is now clear, having previously been blocked for a time.
Police were called to the incident, involving one car, just before 11pm.
Buses were diverting from Whiteley Bank, via Canteen Road, Apse Heath, Arreton to Merstone Lane.
All routes have since returned to normal.
