East Cowes based manufacturing business, Datum Electronics, has been nominated for a national award within the maritime sector.
The company has been shortlisted in the Clean Maritime Enabler category alongside Signol Limited and Port of Cromarty Firth.
The award will be given to a company or body that are working to support green innovation in the UK maritime sector, through financing or services.
The winner will be decided by a judging panel of internationally recognised maritime leaders and announced at an awards evening at the Double Tree by Hilton in Hull on March 9.
James Lees, Managing Director of Datum Electronics said:
“We are extremely pleased and humbled by this nomination.
"The recognition just to be a finalist shows that we are making the right steps forward in our pursuit to design products that directly affect the decarbonisation of the industry along with promotion positive impact on the climate."
The Maritime UK Awards showcase and celebrate a thriving marine sector, worth £116bn to the UK economy.
Each year the awards rotate around the UK, having visited Plymouth, Portsmouth and Glasgow so far.
This year, Maritime UK's Patron HRH The Princess Royal will join 600 industry colleagues and partners in government for an evening to celebrate the world of maritime and progress being made by organisations across the sector in support of Maritime 2050.
