Emergency services are in attendance following reports of a crash in Newport this afternoon (Tuesday).
The back of a Kia car suffered significant damage, although the exact nature of the incident has yet to reported.
Traffic has slowed to a halt and Southern Vectis has reported delays.
Routes 8 and 9, (via Staplers), are liable to delays owing to a motor vehicle accident on Staplers Road.

We have contacted Hampshire Constabulary for further information.
UPDATE 3.32pm
A listener has said that the traffic from Staplers has built up and extended to the dual carriageway.
He added that two ambulance and a police unit are now on the scene.

The accident has now been cleared and traffic is reportedly moving freely.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:
"This was a minor injury RTC involving three vehicles at around 2.58pm yesterday (Tuesday).
"Two cars and a tipper truck were involved — officers attended along with ambulance .
"One lane of the road was blocked by the crash which caused hold-up. Injuries believed to be minor. The cars were a Hyundai and a Kia."
