A dog has been rescued after falling 40ft at Bembridge Fort.
Firefighters were called to the incident, alongside Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team, yesterday evening (Thursday).
Firefighters said that the key holder to the moat was contacted to prevent a rope rescue operation.
Fortunately, the dog was believed to be unharmed and was reunited with its owner.
Green watch have this evening assisted with the rescue of a dog that had fallen 40ft into the moat at Bembridge Fort.
