Hampshire Constabulary officers were called to West Street and North Street at 8.27pm last night (Tuesday).
A car is said to have collided with parked vehicles.
A 38-year-old man was detained on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit.
He remains in custody.
