Drivers are being urged to take extra care on the roads today (Friday), with reports that a number of routes are flooded.
Isle of Wight Radio listeners have said a number of roads are being submerged by water.
Between Ryde and Bembridge, Arreton, Firestone Copse and and Elenors Grove, Fishbourne are all said to be flooded.
The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the Island's coast.
Heavy rain is expected to subside later this morning.
