Firefighters were called to a fire in a flat in Shanklin in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).
Crews from Shanklin and Sandown attended a property in Collingwood Road at 1.14am.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was caused by burnt food left on a stove, in the kitchen.
There were initial fears that the occupants could be trapped, but fortunately, no-one was injured.
Crews used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to deal with the incident.
Smoke was also cleared from the property.
