Emergency services have been called to an incident in Sandown this evening (Friday).
Coastguard and paramedics are in attendance.
Emergency teams have been called to an area of the beach near Driftwood Beach and Bar Grill.
It’s understood a woman, who was on the beach, was in need of assistance.
One ambulance is at the scene, alongside a coastguard teams from Bembridge and Ventnor.

A spokesperson for the Coastguard told Isle of Wight Radio:
'Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams were sent to assist an Isle of Wight Ambulance crew with an incident at Sandown Beach. Ventnor was stood down and Bembridge stayed with the ambulance until it left.'
