The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is among emergency services sent to Ventnor to assist in the search for a missing person this afternoon (Friday).
HM Coastguard is also responding to reports of the person, who was last seen in water at Ventnor beach.
At around 1pm today (Friday) Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams and the RNLI lifeboat from Bembridge were sent to the scene.
The Isle of Wight ambulance service is also in attendance.
