Police and ambulance teams have been called to Ryde Pier this afternoon (Thursday) following reports of a concern for welfare.
The services received the call at around 1pm, with a man located a short time afterwards.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary confirmed:
"We were called at 1pm to a report of a concern for the welfare of a man on Ryde Pier.
"Officers attended and the man located."
A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight NHS Trust added:
"An ambulance crew was dispatched and a person was transferred to St Mary’s Hospital."
