England and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney will be in Portsmouth in December, for an event at the Guildhall.
The former striker, who retired from playing in 2021, is the all-time record goal scorer for his country and the Old Trafford outfit.
The Guildhall is one of only two venues in the whole of the UK he will visit.
The 36-year-old is set to talk about his career and life. Having played under the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes, Rooney will undoubtedly have a wealth of amusing anecdotes and insights.
A spokesperson for the Guildhall said:
"Never shy of giving his opinions he will tell us his thoughts on the current United and England Teams bang in the middle of a World Cup season.
"There will be a chance to send in questions for a few people in the second half."
Rooney, who is currently managing DC United, will be introduced on stage by Terry Baker and will be interviewed by Noel Brodie.
There will also be a brief charity auction at the end of the first half.
'An Evening with Wayne Rooney' takes place on Monday December 12, 2022.
