Experience 1970 Organisers To Refund Ticket Holders After Demise Of Event

Organisers of an event to mark the anniversary of the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival have announced all ticketholders will receive a refund after it was cancelled.

Experience 1970 was due to take place this summer on Tapnell Farm's Afton Field — where the original five-day extravaganza took place — having been rescheduled after the original date in 2020 fell victim to the pandemic.

Unable to successfully renegotiate a deal for a delayed Experience this year, the plug was officially pulled earlier this week, with reports of no refunds being issued to those who had purchased tickets to attend.

Organiser Chris Hewitt said:

"Despite initially saying on our website tickets were non-refundable, I must do the decent thing and make sure holders are refunded."

How ticket holders can claim a refund

All ticket holders who purchased from the Party Ace main agency for the event should contact them for refunds at [email protected]

Other ticket holders should send a letter and enclose proof of payment to:
