Three people have been arrested in Sandown as part of an ongoing investigation involving Class A drugs and supplying firearms.
A man has been arrested in Sandown on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and conspiracy to supply firearms.
West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit is said to be leading an ongoing investigation.
Police say enquiries resulted in a 57 year old man and a 41 year old woman being arrested on suspicion of money laundering at a property in Avenue Road, Sandown.
According to police, the property was searched, along with a commercial building in the High Street.
All three remain in custody.
Enquiries are continuing.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said:
'A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and conspiracy to supply firearms near Fairway Holiday Park, Sandown, Isle of Wight yesterday (17 Nov) just before 1pm as part on an on-going investigation by the West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU).
'Further enquiries led to a 57-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman being arrested on suspicion of money laundering at an address in Avenue Road, which was then searched, along with a commercial premises in the High Street.
'All three remain in police custody for questioning.'
