Firefighters from across the Isle of Wight have been called to a property in Newport this morning (Wednesday).
Appliances from Newport, Cowes, Ryde, East Cowes and Shanklin, the Aerial Ladder Platform and Incident Command Unit from Newport - plus three officers, are on scene at Quay Street.
Firefighters were alerted to the incident at 4.31am.
The focus of the incident is around a property, understood to be the Newport Quay Hotel.

*A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said:
"Crews from Newport, Cowes, East Cowes and Shanklin attended at 4.34am to extinguish the blaze, which started in the hotel kitchen.
"They used eight breathing apparatus, four hose reels and one main jet in the process.
"All persons at the hotel are accounted for and found alternative accommodation. Two people were passed into the care of ambulance colleagues.
"The stop message was received at 7:45am."
