A garage has been badly damaged after a fire broke out at a property near Newport.
Firefighters were called to a house on the main Cowes to Newport Road, shortly after 11pm last night (Monday).
Crews from Newport and Cowes used hose reels jets and breathing apparatus at the incident.
The road was closed for a time, but is now open.
A car has also been badly damaged.

*A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Service said:
"Three fire engines were called to Cowes Road, Newport, at just after 11pm last night following a fire involving a garage.
"The garage and a car inside were well alight when crews arrived and firefighters wore breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.
"The fire was prevented from spreading to the main building and the stop message was received at 00:17."
