The Environment Agency has this afternoon (Wednesday) issued an update to its earlier flood warning.
It says flooding is possible for Eastern Yar and tributaries from Whitwell to Bembridge.
A statement from the agency said:
"The water level in the Eastern Yar remains high.
"In the last 24 hours, 38 mm of rain was recorded at Knighton. Water levels are noticeably high at Alverstone, near to the top of the river bank.
"Water levels are peaking now at Alverstone, a little later than forecast. Some minor out of bank flooding may be experienced in fields at Langbridge.
"We do not expect access issues to Horringford or impacts at Sandown.
"Property flooding is not expected and no further rain is expected today."
It adds that drier weather through into Thursday will allow water levels to recover, with the flood alert expected to be removed at 9am on Thursday.
