Footprint Trust's Water Butt Scheme Taking Off With More Than 300 Applications

Delivery has started to roll out across the Island of the Footprint Trust’s water butt project.

Water butts, watering cans, compost, seed trays and ‘lucky dip’ seeds are being sent out in a bid to help people save water. These kits are described as being perfect for home or allotment use and are a great starter for growing your own vegetables.

The kits are open to anyone living on the Island - the Footprint Trust says it would like to support everyone in being able to save water and save money.

Uptake is already proving strong and the project popular, with 355 applications for kits so far.

A spokesperson said:

"We are grateful to Connect 4 Communities for their funding and the support of Hursts for collating and delivering the goods. Keep a look out for the Hurst’s van and delivery drivers, Steve and Dan, who are kindly dropping off everyone’s order."

If you have not ordered yours yet and would like to, please email: [email protected] or phone on 822282.
