The second edition of a local Comic Con event is coming to the Isle of Wight this weekend.
IW-Heroes Con 2 — the brainchild of Nicola Symmonds and Rob Mead — takes place on Sunday (April 16).
The event's official charity is once again YMCA Young Carers, with the inaugural Heroes Con last year having raised £1,600 for the same organisation.
This figure was astounding considering it was a free event with a suggested donation of £1 on the door.
Rob, who also runs the Heroes comic book store in Newport, said:
"We are so excited by all the awesome things happening and hope that everyone has a wonderful time.
"Everyone involved is like a huge family and we love what we do.
"It's all for such a worthy cause helping our young, Island heroes. We can't wait to see you there!"
IW-Heroes Con 2 will be held at the Quay arts in Newport from 10am to 5pm this Sunday.
What you'll find at the event
- Meet and greet with life size and working replica Johnny 5 from the film Short Circuit
