A fundraiser is aiming to raise money for the one-year-old daughter of a "loving" Isle of Wight father, who unexpectedly died last month (November).
Lewis James Gregory, 23, passed away at St Mary's Hospital on the evening of November 9.
His family say a blood clot was discovered on his lungs. They said:
"He had complained that morning of difficulties breathing and was taken in to hospital at St 'Mary's on the Isle of Wight.
"By late afternoon it was discovered that he had a massive blood clot on the lungs and by 9pm he had passed away.
"Lewis was a father to his one-year-old daughter Esme, who he absolutely doted on and loved so much.
"He was to marry his fiancé Tash in September 2022 after a long and loving relationship."
In honour of Lewis, and to ensure Esme has a bright future, his family have set up a Daddy's Little Girl Fund.
A fundraising page has so far raised £2,070 and a number of events are planned to bolster the pot.
Newport's The Castle Inn Pub, where Lewis worked as a chef, are also planning a raffle on December 16..
Some of the staff will be getting their legs, armpits, chest or back waxed. Everyone is invited to attend.
So ladies and gents, as we’ve previously mentioned we will be holding a raffle on the 16th December here at The Castle,...
