Two more Isle of Wight arts organisations have been awarded thousands of pounds.
StoneCrabs Theatre Company in Shanklin has been given £52,991 thanks to the Government's Culture Recovery Fund.
In the latest round of funding released, Strings Bar and Venue in Newport has also received £60,000.
More than half a million pounds has already been given to Isle of Wight arts and cultural organisations to help them survive the coronavirus pandemic, as Isle of Wight Radio previously reported.
Welcoming the news, Island MP Bob Seely said:
“I’m glad this money has come forward and that the Isle of Wight is getting its share.
“We need to secure a future for our entertainment venues and providers so that we don’t lose them following the pandemic.”
The latest announcement is expected to be followed by further allocations of grants and loans to successful applicants in the coming days and weeks.
