Two school children from Queensgate Foundation Primary in East Cowes have safely delivered six crates of donated items to the town's food pantry.
It follows a host of generous harvest festival donations, dropped off by families who attend the Beatrice Avenue school.
Year six school council members, Rose Clark and Leo Lippuner — both aged 10 — were tasked with the vital job of helping deliver the precious items in the school's minibus.
Leo said:
"We have brought the food people donated at school to the East Cowes Food Pantry. There's loads!"
Rose added:
"I am surprised there is this much food."
On hand to receive it, at East Cowes’ Parkside Pavilion, was Christine Faulkner.
She said:
"I'd like to thank Queensgate Foundation Primary.
"It has stocked our shelves and the food will go to good homes in the community.
"Hopefully it will last."
