Greenmount Primary is the latest Isle of Wight school to have had a confirmed case of coronavirus.
A year one bubble of 54 children and six staff have been told to stay at home.
A letter has been sent to parents.
The Isle of Wight Council has confirmed the school remains open for other students. A spokesperson said:
"A member of Greenmount Primary School community has tested positive for Covid-19. Families and staff have all been informed. After seeking public health advice a year one bubble of 54 children and six staff now need to remain at home and self-isolate as a precautionary measure.
"A high-quality remote learning will be provided for the children throughout this time. The school remains open for all other staff and students."
