ICRTouch Supports T-Level Students At Isle Of Wight College With Generous Donation

ICRTouch has donated various pieces of equipment totalling over £1,000 to the tech students, including 20 HD webcams, an OWL 360 meeting room conference system and Zoom audio recorder, in order to support the college’s T-Level Digital students with their studies.

Claire Shortman, Teaching & Learning Manager at IW College said:

“Students will benefit from clear audio and video during live lectures and practical demonstrations, ensuring that remote learners receive the same level of education as those on site.“

The donated equipment also plays a pivotal role from an accessibility point of view, ensuring that all learners have equal opportunities to complete assignments.

Claire continues:

“This technology will also support collaborative projects and e-sports activities, providing a professional setup for competitions, team meetings, and strategic planning sessions.”

ICRTouch takes pride in supporting the local community, particularly via organisations that empower young people.

This latest donation is part of the company’s ongoing objectives to improve accessibility to technology for the Isle of Wight’s young people,
encouraging them to pursue a tech career.

The ICRTouch team will also be welcoming two IW College students on work placement over the coming months, giving them real-life insight into working life within the tech industry.

The company provides placement for a number of students every year on work experience and placement opportunities.
