Islanders are being encouraged to get on board with a charity paddleboarding event at this year's South Island Sevens.
To raise money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Ryde Inshore Rescue, people aged 12 and over are asked to get onto the water for some competitive fun.
The racing starts from Appley Beach, onto the sea, racing between two buoys and back to the finish line at the sand. Organisers said there will be three heats per hour, with racing between 1pm and 5pm. Boards are provided.
Fastest time on the day will win £100.
It's happening in Ryde on July 22, with a host of sporting events over the weekend.
