Islanders are being warned about cold callers trying to sell teak furniture from the back of a van.
Two white Mercedes-Benz transit vans - with 'London' written on the side - have allegedly been stopping at properties in Brading, Bembridge and Seaview.

It's said the occupants are trying to sell furniture, but have become 'verbally aggressive' when challenged.
Island resident, Jessica Garbett, said:
"Just had cold callers at the door, saying 'we are from London, normally sell teak furniture at the shows.'
"I'm wondering which part of 'essential journeys' they don’t understand?"
Non-essential is currently banned under the Government's coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
Islanders are warned not to buy anything on the doorstep from cold callers.
