Staff members from the Isle of Wight Ambulance and 111 Service will be running for charity this Sunday (24).
Five team members will be taking part in the Southampton Half Marathon, to raise money to buy a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the Island.
Competitors, Tom Dunnett, Ben South, Ellie Dunford, Ray Steven and James Tilbury, know how important these devices are.
They are hoping to raise £1,000 through sponsorship.
An AED can help save the life of someone experiencing a sudden cardiac arrest. They are easy to use, portable, with clear step-by-step instructions, so members of the public can access them while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.
