Isle Of Wight College Celebrates Student Success On GCSE Results Day

The Isle of Wight College is celebrating the achievements of students across the Island on this year’s GCSE results day.

It has been a day filled with joy, relief, and anticipation as students received their results and began the next chapter of their educational journeys.

Whether it is stepping into further education, starting an apprenticeship, or embarking on a new career path, today marks a significant milestone for
all students across the Isle of Wight.

The atmosphere at the Isle of Wight College has been one of excitement and pride as our own students collected their results.

The determination and hard work demonstrated by these young people have truly paid off, and we are incredibly proud of each one.

Throughout the morning, stories of personal triumph and perseverance have been shared, reflecting the diverse paths our students are set to take.

Samantha Deacon passed her adult GCSE maths and is now set to complete her teaching degree.

After graduation, Samantha will be pursuing a career as a secondary school GCSE dance teacher.

Kayleigh Brodie achieved the highest possible mark in adult GCSE maths today.

When asked about her goal, she said:

"My children are now in secondary school, and I want to be prepared to help them with their studies when they need me."

Principal Ros Parker added:

"It is inspiring to see the students’ commitment to academic excellence and their resolve to overcome challenges.

"These achievements not only pave the way for further education, but also give our students the confidence to pursue their career goals."
