Isle Of Wight Council Hosts 2023 Green Impact Awards

A host of Island businesses have been recognised for their positive environmental changes over the past 12 months.

The Isle of Wight Council's 2023 Green Impact Awards — held at Calbourne Water Mill last week — saw no less than a dozen enterprises listed in the silver and gold categories.

Cabinet member for Levelling Up, Business Development, Regeneration and Tourism Julie Jones-Evans said:

“Thanks must go to our wonderful host and green heroes at Calbourne Mill for this year’s Green Impact awards and launch of this year’s programme.

"Seeing such diverse businesses and hearing about their sustainability journeys was a joy.

"Any business of any size can use the free tool and take actions to improve their sustainability, it’s easy and rewarding.

"Each action we take adds up to a big impact across the island.”

The awards ceremony is one of the most widely anticipated events in the Green Impact calendar and celebrated the amazing efforts made by many individuals to green the Isle of Wight.
