One of the Island's premier running events returns tomorrow (Sunday).
The IW Festival of Running takes place from Sunday May 29 to Sunday June 5, offering routes for adults and children.
The festival, organised by West Wight Sports & Community Centre (WWSCC), is now in its sixth year, and has attracted 510 entries in total.
The highlight for many is the final Sunday's Needles Half Marathon, which starts and finishes at the centre, taking runners on a rugged route over Tennyson Down.
A packed closing day also includes the Freshwater 5K and the Needles Junior Fun Run.
The Duver Dash, which takes place tomorrow, is hosted by Bembridge Harbour and features a 5km fun run for adults, and 1km route for children, with a second lap option.
Clare Griffin, WWSCC manager, said:
“This year’s festival coincides with the Platinum Jubilee, which makes it extra special.
"We are looking forward to another splendid event and are very pleased to welcome familiar faces and new friends.
“As ever, we are grateful to the marshals and other volunteers who work behind the scenes, to make the festival possible.”
