Petrol costs have reached a new high on the Isle of Wight, with prices soaring across the world.
At Osborne Petrol Station, in East Cowes, the price of diesel has risen to more than £2 a litre (201.5p per litre)
As of this morning (Thursday 10), petrol at the site is being sold for 177.5p per litre. On Saturday (5), it was 164.0p per litre.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine - and subsequent sanctions placed on Moscow - have seen fuel prices soar globally.
The RAC says, for the first time ever, the cost to fill up a tank of diesel in a typical family car has surpassed £90 - some £8 more than in early January.
RAC fuel spokesman Simon Williams told Sky News:
"The cost of a filling a 55-litre family car with petrol is now £87 - £7 more than it was at the start of the year.
"Diesel drivers are even worse off, with a tank now costing more than £90 for the first time ever - £8 more than in early January."
