The team, based in Wootton, are thrilled that so many people wanted them to get a share of an insurance firms corporate hand out.
The £1,000 will help them in their mission to create work opportunities for adults with additional needs on the Isle of Wight.
The not for profit community interest company was a popular choice to receive one of the Benefact Group's 150 'Movement for Good Awards'
Kind-hearted Island residents donated their time and submitted more than 1,000 nominations for charities close to their hearts.
The organisation does much more that offer gardening skills, the team of mentors work with trainees to make and sell hand crafted wooden furniture, garden ornaments, and refurb old tools.
Their nursery and farm shop are open in Park Road, Wootton.
John Goodenough the Founder of 'Care in the Garden' said:
"It is wonderful to get the support from different parts of the community so I say a big thank you to everyone who voted for us.
"People now realise we hae a mission and we are here to stay."
John added they are just finishing a commission for The Duke of York in Cowes and starting work on some garden furniture for Southern Water.
